Recently a fake news story was published on a Bloomberg News look-alike website that convinced people that Twitter itself was fielding takeover bids, which led to Twitter stock soaring up nearly 8%. After the inflation in shares price, it claimed that the company is being acquired for $31 billion and suggested Google was the buyer.
