iYogi Says widen your digital horizon with Sharp’s 90-inch LED AQUOS TV

12 Sep

Push back the walls, remove the doors off their hinges, and make some space in the room to accommodate the world’s largest LED TV from Sharp. Yes, you heard it right, with the launch of its 90-inch AQUOS LC-90LE745U,  Sharp has been parading around with the title of possessing the largest LED TV on this planet. And true to its claims, this mammoth 90-inch AQUOS LC-90LE745U LED TV stands 4 feet tall, 6 feet and 8 inches wide, and is a true amalgamation of style and technology.

Packed with full-array backlights, this high-end television has over 500 individual LEDs spread across the screen for crisp and clear content, a refresh rate of 240 Hz, and features 3D-ready 1080p screen. It has 8,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 16:9 aspect ratio. Connectors include four HDMI connectors, a single composite connector, two sets of component, and an Ethernet.

With an in-built Wi-Fi and Sharp’s SmartCentral user interface, this 90-incher provides an easy access to the world wide web and a range of applications, including Netflix, Hulu Plus, Vudu, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and CinemaNow. Being a 3D TV, it comes handy with a pair of 3D glasses for those special movie nights with friends and family. The television is just 5-inches thick and weighs merely 141 pounds.

However, there’s other side to the coin too. Sharps’s AQUOS LC-90LE745U does not offer local diming, lacks USB ports, and there’s no futuristic 8K or 4K resolution. And the price; it can burn a hole in your pocket as it has been priced at $10,999.
